Boosting Your Immune System with Zinc & Vitamin C via IV Therapy

As the world fights to return to a sense of normality in the midst of COVID-19, people are more aware now than ever before of what they touch, how far apart they stand from others, and even how many times a day they wash their hands. Unfortunately, just because this is the first pandemic since the Spanish Flu hit in 1918, other viruses and bacteria haven’t decided to take a holiday.

Every Autumn, the drop in temperature brings along a few unwanted guests – namely, the common cold and the flu, and doctors’ offices everywhere flood with their latest victims. By boosting your immune system with Zinc and Vitamin C, you can potentially make it through flu season unscathed. IV Restoration offers an Immunity drip therapy session that is a combination of a high dose of Vitamin C and of Zinc, both of which are fuel for the engine of your natural defense system.

Why Does Vitamin C Help?

According to The Cleveland Clinic, Vitamin C is one of the biggest immune boosters of all time. In fact, a lack of C can even make you more prone to getting sick. While most of Vitamin C is acquired through the foods we eat, it can be difficult to ensure that you’re getting your recommended daily dose every single day, especially with obligations such as work or family taking priority over what you eat. Vitamin C is also one of the water-soluble members of the vitamin family, meaning it leaves your body fairly easy through sweat and urination and so must be continually replenished. Harvard Health Publishing writes, “The Recommended Dietary Allowance for men is 90 milligrams (mg) per day, and for women, it’s 75 mg per day.” Any lower an amount than that and your body’s natural defenses are at risk.

The Magic Of Zinc

Another way to boost your immune system this Fall is through increasing your intake of the trace mineral Zinc. Several studies from The National Library of Medicine have shown evidence that Zinc is successful in both treating and preventing colds. The number of colds that actually broke-out in test subjects decreased significantly once the subjects took this helpful supplement. As long as you take Zinc within 24 hours of your first symptoms, Zinc is extremely effective in combating symptoms of the common cold no matter how harsh the weather may be. Zinc also helps prevent outbreaks of cold sores (HSV-1) that can develop during times of stress, for those afflicted with oral herpes.

This nutritional treatment sounds pretty cool – I definitely intend to visit your space sometime this winter and try one of your IV therapies. After the C-19 pandemic vaccines, I’m used to needles and they don’t hurt lol!
